Summer vacation is a time for improving reading skills for Badjao sea gypsy at Lugmah Elementary School. located in a former area of armed conflict in the Philippines. School teachers often work in these programs for little to no salaries. AAI has assisted Lugmnah with clean water, gardens and reading materials. Principal Alvasnier and the teaching staff have demonstrated unselfish committed to their pupils who until just three years ago had little opportunity for a decent basic education. Hope and classroom achievement are building blocks for peace and economic development that all community members can share. AAI is happy to assist.
